FAQ

What materials can SPINPET develop or optimize?

SPINPET works on polymer materials and (nano)composites, both recycled and virgin, including tailor-made formulations, compatibilizers, functional additives and compounds for packaging, automotive, energy, fashion and biomedical applications. We can start from a waste stream, an idea or specific performance targets.

Is it possible to start from recycled materials or complex waste streams?

Yes. SPINPET specializes in advanced recycling and upcycling projects. We analyze material composition, define compatibilization and re-grading strategies, and develop stable compounds suitable for industrial processing. This is one of our most requested services.

Can SPINPET also support scale-up and industrialization?

Absolutely. In addition to development and experimental validation, we support the transition from pilot scale to industrial production, including process parameter optimization, prototyping (extrusion/injection molding), quality control and, where applicable, assistance with patent filing.

How confidential is a research project with SPINPET?

All projects are managed under non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and internal processes compliant with UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certification. Data, formulations and experimental results remain confidential.

Does SPINPET work only with companies or also with consortia and funded projects?

We collaborate with companies of all sizes, industrial clusters and European partnerships (Horizon, LIFE, regional projects). We can act as an R&D partner, work package leader or scientific support provider, offering formulation, characterization, prototyping and scale-up.
